Brazil qualify for the Japan 2018, FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship

Brazil, of our member Tandara Caixeta, achieved its 20th title at the South American qualifiers, and is the first South American team who will compete at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.

After 79 minutes on the court Brazilian team defeated host Colonbia 3:0 (25:23, 25:19, 25:17) to top the standings. Opposite spiker Tandara Caixeta was named player of the tournament after a performance in which she scored 16 points against Colombia. “This South American title was very important for our group,” Tandara said. “We have learned how to handle tough situations and the team is continuing to grow. “Today we had some difficulties against Colombia, who competed well, but we won the title and reached the World Championship, which was our goal.”
