Bulgaria qualify for the 2018 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship

Bulgaria, of our players Dobriana Rabadzhieva, Eva Yaneva and Gergana Dimitrova, secured their ticket to next year’s FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship in Japan.

Bulgaria secured ticket to Japan after defeated Belgium 3:0 (25:17, 25:22, 25:19) and reached 12 points. The Bulgaria and Netherlands join the winners of the six second-round qualifiers held in June – Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Italy, Azerbaijan and Germany – to compose the European contingent for next year’s World Champs in Japan.

Even Bulgaria lost the match on the final day of the third-round European qualifier for the 2018 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship, they will travel to Japan. In the last round the Netherlands and Bulgaria played for first place in the final standing, with both teams already qualified for next year’s World Champs, and the Dutch team stayed unbeaten after rallying to another 3:0 (25:21, 25:17, 25:23) victory.
