Tandara helped Brazil to defeat Russia at FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Grand Champions Cup

Brazil, of our player Tandara Caixeta, easily defeated Russia 3:1 (25:17, 23:25, 25:23, 25:12) in the opening match of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Grand Champions Cup in Tokyo.

As many times before Tandara was the best player on the court and with 28 points scored helped her team to reach the first win. Tandara showed a great all-around game with 20 attacks, four blocks and four aces.

Nataliya Goncharova and Tatiana Kosheleva ran Russia’s offence with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Brazil are on a roll after winning this year’s FIVB World Grand Prix as they opened their World Grand Champions Cup campaign with a win that will help them in their quest for their third gold medal in the history of the tournament.
